Managing Your Debit Card in Our Mobile App

Take full control of your Hingham Savings debit card directly from your smartphone. Using the MyCard feature within our Personal Mobile Banking app, you can define when, where, and how your card is used, providing an essential layer of proactive security.

How to Access MyCard

  1. Log In: Open the Hingham Savings Personal Mobile App.

  2. Navigate: Select Cards from the home screen menu.

  3. Manage: Choose the specific card you wish to view or modify.

Key Features & Controls

  • Instant Card On/Off: Toggle your card "Off" to instantly block all transactions if it is misplaced or stolen. Toggle it back "On" once the card is secured.

  • Custom Spending Preferences:

    • By Geography: Restrict card use to specific regions or near your phone's location.

    • By Merchant Type: Block or allow categories like "Gas Stations," "Travel," or "Online Shopping."

    • By Transaction Amount: Set maximum purchase limits (Note: These cannot exceed your standard Daily Debit Card Limits).

  • Real-Time Alerts: Enable push notifications for transactions based on amount, location, or merchant type.

    • Note: You may see a $0.00 notification from "Token Provision." This is a standard security check for mobile wallets and is not fraudulent.

  • Travel Plan Management: Inform us of your travel dates and destinations (up to 2 plans and 15 destinations) to ensure uninterrupted card use while away.

  • Digital Wallet Integration: Set your Hingham Savings card as your primary payment method for Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay directly through the app.

  • Card Activation: Quickly activate a newly received card and set your PIN without needing to call.
