How to Order a Card

You can request a new or replacement card for any personal or business checking account.

  • New or Lost Cards: We will issue a new card number and mail it to your address on file via USPS within 7-10 business days.

  • Damaged Cards: If you still have the card but the chip or stripe is failing, we can reissue a card with the same number.

  • Expiring Cards: We automatically mail replacement cards on the 15th of the month prior to your current card's expiration. Your old card remains active until the last day of its expiration month.

  • How to Request: Complete the order form below or call us at 781-749-2200.

Note: If your card is lost or stolen after hours, please call our 24/7 automated line at 855-456-0019 to cancel it immediately.

Activating Your Card

Once your card arrives, you have two convenient ways to activate it and set your 4-digit PIN.

Personal Mobile Banking App Activation

  1. Log in to the Hingham Savings Personal Mobile Banking App.

  2. Select Cards from the navigation menu.

  3. Locate your new card and select Activate Card.

  4. Enter the Expiration Date and Security Code (CVV) from the back of the card.

  5. Follow the prompts to set your unique PIN.

Telephone Activation

To activate your card via phone call, dial 800-992-3808 and follow the automated prompts to activate the card and select your PIN. Your card will be ready for immediate use once the call is complete.

PIN Security Best Practices

To protect your account, follow these security guidelines when selecting and managing your PIN:

  • Avoid Predictable Patterns: Do not use information or series that can be easily guessed or obtained (for example 1234, 1111, or your birth year).

  • Keep it Private: Never write your PIN on the card or share it with others.

  • Hingham Savings will never ask for your PIN: If you receive a call or text asking for your PIN, it is a scam.

Digital Wallet Setup

After activation, you can immediately add your card to Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Samsung Pay. For detailed enrollment instructions for your specific device, please see our Digital Wallet Integration Guide.
