How to Enroll Your Card

You can add your card to your mobile device in minutes.

  1. Open your Wallet App: Open Apple Wallet (iOS), Google Wallet (Android), or Samsung Pay.

  2. Add a New Card: Tap the "+" or "Add to Wallet" icon.

  3. Scan or Enter Details: Position your card in the camera frame with the back of the card facing you to scan it, or enter the card number, expiration date, and 3-digit security code (CVV) manually.

  4. Accept Terms: Review and accept the Hingham Savings terms and conditions.

  5. Verify Identity: For your security, you may be prompted to enter a one-time passcode (OTP). Choose to receive this via text or email, then enter the code in your wallet app.

  6. Set as Default: Choose "Use as Default Card" to make your Hingham Savings card your primary payment method.

Note: During setup, you may see a $0.00 "Token Provision" notification. This is a standard security verification by the card network and is not an actual charge.

How to Use Your Digital Wallet

Once enrolled, you can pay at any merchant terminal displaying the Contactless Symbol (radio waves).

Apple Pay (iPhone & Apple Watch)

  • iPhone with Face ID: Double-click the side button, glance at your screen, and hold the top of your iPhone near the reader.

  • iPhone with Touch ID: Rest your finger on the Touch ID sensor and hold the top of your iPhone near the reader.

  • Apple Watch: Double-click the side button and hold the watch display near the reader until you feel a gentle tap.

Google Pay & Samsung Pay (Android)

  • To Pay with your Phone: Unlock your device using your preferred security method (Face Unlock, Fingerprint, or PIN). Hold the back of your phone near the contactless reader.

  • To Pay with an Android Watch: Double-click the side button and hold the watch face near the reader until you feel a gentle vibration or "tap."

    • Confirmation: A blue checkmark and the word "Done" will appear on your screen once the transaction is successful.

Note: Exact steps may vary slightly depending on your specific Android manufacturer (e.g., Samsung vs. Google Pixel).

Security Features

  • Biometric Security: Every transaction requires your fingerprint, Face ID, or device passcode.

  • Card Controls: If you are a Personal Banking customer, you can manage your digital wallet preferences and even lock your physical card while keeping your digital wallet active via the My Cards feature in our mobile app.
