Your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is a private 4-digit security code that acts as a digital signature for your debit card.
Essential PIN Security Tips
Before resetting your PIN, keep these security standards in mind to protect your account:
Create a Unique Code: Avoid predictable sequences like 1234 or 1111.
Exclude Personal Data: Avoid using information that can be easily found or guessed, such as your birth year, the last 4 digits of your Social Security number (SSN), or the last 4 digits of your phone number.
Keep it Private: Never write your PIN on your card or share it with anyone. Hingham Savings will never ask for your PIN.
