How to Notify Us of Your Travel
To help prevent interrupted service while traveling, you should submit a travel notice before your departure. You can notify us of your plans by calling (781) 749-2200, using the Hingham Savings Personal Mobile Banking App, or completing our Online Travel Notice Form below.
Using Our Online Travel Exception Form
If you do not have access to the Personal Mobile Banking App, you may use our alternative request method. This form is available to all customers.
Processing Time: Requests can take up to 1 business day to process.
Managing Travel Plans in the Personal Mobile Banking App
Setting a plan in the app provides the most immediate protection for your card. A maximum of 2 active travel plans can be maintained at one time via the Personal Mobile Banking App.
Prerequisites:
You must be enrolled in Personal Online Banking.
You must have the Personal Mobile Banking App installed on your mobile device, this feature is currently not available in the Business App or via a web browser.
Step-by-Step Instructions:
Log In: Open the Hingham Savings app and authenticate.
Navigate to Cards: Select the Cards option from the bottom navigation menu.
Verify Identity: Enter your Security Token when prompted and select Next.
Select Your Card: Swipe to the card you will be using and tap it.
Manage Travel: Scroll down and select Manage Travel Plans.
Add Destinations: Tap Add Travel Plan > Destinations. Search for and select the Country or State you are visiting.
Destination Limits: Travel plans set via the Personal Mobile Banking App may include a maximum of 15 destinations. If your trip includes more than 15 locations, you may submit multiple travel plans.
Set Your Dates: Enter your Travel Dates (up to 15 days per plan) and tap Submit. For trips exceeding 15 days, create an additional plan to cover your full travel window.
Date Limits: Travel plans set via the Personal Mobile Banking App are limited to 15 days. If your trip exceeds 15 days, simply create multiple travel plans to cover your full travel window.

Carry a Backup Payment: While travel notices reduce declines, our security systems may still flag unusual activity. Always carry a secondary form of payment as a safeguard.
Understand Network Restrictions: Hingham Savings cannot override security blocks or usage rules managed by Mastercard® or international ATM networks. Access to funds is also subject to the policies of individual foreign ATM owners.
Daily Card Limits: Your standard Hingham Savings debit card daily spending and withdrawal limits apply to all purchases, both domestic and international.
