To sign up for external transfers:

  1. Log in to your Personal Online Banking through an internet browser (Note: you must enroll for external transfer in browser-based (Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Firefox) online banking. Once enrolled, you can use either online banking or the mobile app to move money)

  2. Select "Transfer" from the home page.

  3. On the next page select "Launch External Transfer."

  4. Add your external account information (routing number, account number)

Once you have enrolled in external transfers in the browser version of online banking, you will now be able to send and receive money using your Hingham Institution for Savings accounts and your accounts at other banks.  Learn more about Using External Transfer in this article.

If you are a new customer to the bank, you must wait 30 days after your account is open and funded to use the Hingham External Transfer service. External Transfer is only available for Personal Online Banking. You must be 18 years or older to register for external transfers.

What if I don't see the external transfers option?

If your account has been open for longer than 30 days and you do not see the external transfers option, please contact us for assistance at 781-749-2200.
