Using Internal Transfer

How to transfer between your internal accounts

Moving money between your Hingham Savings bank accounts is simple with online banking. You can complete an internal transfer without placing a call or visiting a branch by Enrolling in Personal Online Banking.

Once enrolled, you can complete an internal transfer in Personal Online from your Computer / Internet Browser or the Mobile Banking App.

Computer / Internet Browser

  1. Log into Personal Online on your computer or internet browser

  2. Click on one of the Transfer buttons

  3. A window will open where you can Create a Transfer:

    1. From account: Select the account to transfer money out of

    2. To account: Select the account to transfer money into

    3. Date: Input the date you would like the transfer to occur

    4. Amount: Input the dollar amount for your transfer

  4. If you would like your transfer to be repetitive, click the Repeat box next to the date. This will give you additional options for the frequency and duration of your repetitive transfer

  5. Once you have completed all the options, click Preview transfer to review your transfer details

  6. If your transfer details are accurate, click Complete transfer

Mobile Banking App

  1. Log into HIFS Mobile on your phone or tablet

  2. Tap the Transfer button at the bottom of the screen

  3. Tap the Make an internal transfer button

  4. This will take you to the New transfer page:

    1. From: Select the account to transfer money out of

    2. To: Select the account to transfer money into

    3. Amount: Input the dollar amount for your transfer

    4. Date: Input the date you would like the transfer to occur

  5. Once you have completed all the options, tap Continue to review your transfer details

  6. If your transfer details are accurate, tap Make transfer

You can use these same steps to make a loan payment online by transferring from your deposit account to your loan account.
