How to send a wire transfer from your Hingham account

Sending a wire transfer is typically the quickest way to move money.

A wire transfer can be initiated two ways. In person at any branch location or remotely through Business Online Banking

  • Wire transfers initiated at the branch are subjected to a $10 fee for domestic and $15 fee for foreign transfers.

  • Domestic transfer fees are waived for Business Online customers.

  • Wires are processed the same day when initiated in person or through Business Online by 6:00 PM, ET Monday through Friday.

  • Wire requests submitted after 6:00 PM, ET or during weekends and holidays will be processed the following business day.

Before you start, what information you need to send a wire transfer:

In order to send a domestic wire transfer, you need to gather the following information:

  • Name of who you want to send the wire transfer to, typically referred to as the beneficiary

  • Beneficiary's account number

  • Beneficiary's address

  • Beneficiary's bank name and address

  • Beneficiary's bank routing number

If it is a foreign wire transfer:

  • Name of who you want to send the wire transfer to (beneficiary)

  • Beneficiary's account number or IBAN, if applicable

  • Beneficiary's address

  • Beneficiary's bank name and address

  • Beneficiary's SWIFT Code or BIN
