After opening your account online, it is suggested that you enroll in our online banking services in order to track and manage your account. In order to enroll in online banking click here. You will need your 10 digit bank account number which would have been provided to you at the time you submitted your new account application. If you do not have your account number please reach out to us and we will be happy to assist you with that information. 

Funding your account
To fund your new account at Hingham Savings you will need to first find the two small deposits made to your funding account. The small deposits will come 1-2 business days after successfully completing your application. Once you see these deposits you will need to find the email sent named "Please Validate your Account". This email will contain a link, click on the link and enter both deposit amounts. Once this is complete we will transfer the requested deposit amount from your funding account to your new Hingham Savings account. The funds will be deposited into the new account in 1-2 business days.

Opening additional accounts
Once you are an existing customer you can login to your online banking at anytime and open additional accounts simply by clicking "Open an Account" on your online banking home page or from within our Personal Mobile Banking app. 

Changing a title on an account

To change a title on an account you can reach out to Cindy DeLoach at 781-927-7874 and she will provide you with the appropriate forms and documents to change the information needed.

Adding money to an account
Adding additional funds to an account you already opened is easy. The type of account will determine the most efficient way to send and receive funds. For checking and savings accounts, please refer to our payments and transfers page here. If you would like to add funds to an active CD, please contact Cindy DeLoach at 781-927-7874.

Rolling over a CD
When your CD is nearing maturity, you will receive notice by mail. You have 10 calendar days after maturity to make a change to your CD terms. If you would like to renew your CD with the same term and current rate, no action is needed.  If you would like to renew your CD for a different term, please contact Cindy DeLoach at 781-927-7874. If you would like to close your CD please refer to the section below.

Closing an account
If you should need to close your account or your CD has matured and you would like to collect the funds you will need to fill our our Online Account Closure Form.

Please fill out the form in its entirety and choose how you would like to receive your funds. Once complete, our Online Account Opening Department will process your request.

*Funds can be sent back in a check form by mail or transferred into one of your existing accounts at Hingham Savings.
