Manage Travel Plans in the Personal Banking App

Keep your Hingham Savings debit card active while traveling. Set a travel notice in our Personal Banking app at any time to help our security systems recognize your out-of-area purchases.

How to Add a Travel Plan in the App

Before you start: Ensure you have the Hingham Savings Personal mobile app installed and you are enrolled in Personal Online Banking.

  1. Log In: Open the Hingham Savings app and log in to your account.

  2. Go to Cards: Select the Cards option from the bottom navigation menu.

  3. Verify Identity: Enter your Security Token when prompted and select Next.

  4. Select Your Card: Swipe through your cards to find the one you will be using and tap it.

  5. Manage Travel: Scroll down and select Manage Travel Plans.

  6. Start a New Plan: Select Add Travel Plan.

  7. Add Destinations: Select Destinations to search for your travel location

  8. In the search field, type the Country or State you are visiting and select it from the list. Once you have added all your locations, tap Done.

    Destination Limits: Travel plans may include a maximum of 15 destinations. If your trip includes more than 15 locations, you may submit multiple travel plans.

  9. Set Your Dates: Enter your Travel Dates and click Submit to finalize.

    Date Limits: Plans are limited to 15 days. If your trip exceeds 15 days, simply create multiple travel plans to cover your full travel window.

While travel plans help prevent most interruptions, our security systems may still occasionally flag unusual activity. To ensure you're never stuck, we always recommend carrying a secondary form of payment as a backup.
