You can deposit your checks without visiting a branch by Enrolling in Personal Online Banking.
Once enrolled, download the HIFS Mobile app and log in to make your deposit.
How to Use Mobile Deposit
After logging into HIFS Mobile, click Deposit Check at the bottom of the screen
The Remote Deposit page loads with fields to complete:
Deposit Account: Select the account into which you would like to deposit
Amount: Type in the dollar amount of the check
Front of check: Tap the camera icon, allow access to your phone camera, and then take a photo of the front of your check
Back of check: Using blue or black ink, sign the back of your check and write "Hingham Savings Mobile Deposit" before taking a photo of the back of your check
Verify all the information is correct and click Submit Deposit

Cannot Process Deposit: After submitting a deposit, an error message may appear that states how the system cannot read the check. Before retaking your photos, make sure the check is in good condition (i.e. no rips, creases, or obscuring marks), place the check on a flat, dark surface with good lighting, and remove any perforated paystubs that may still be attached.
Funds Availability: If you deposit a check after 5:00 pm (ET) on a business day, the deposit may not appear in the account until the following business day. Standard check holds apply. See the Check Holds article for more information.
Mobile Deposit Limit: The standard mobile deposit limit is $25,000 a day. Limits can be increased based on your needs. Please contact us at 781-749-2200, if you need to increase your limit
Ineligible Checks: Checks that are issued in a foreign currency cannot be deposited in the app and should instead be deposited at a branch location in person or sent in for Deposits by Mail. Additionally, some checks may specifically state that they may not be deposited remotely.
