Using a Hingham Savings ATM

Hingham Savings never charges a fee to use our own ATMs. As long as you have an active account with a linked Hingham Savings debit card, you can withdraw cash for free at any of our ATM locations, regardless of your current balance.

Our 24/7 ATM Locations:

  • Hingham Branch

  • Hull Branch

  • Nantucket Branch

  • Linden Ponds (Residents and Staff Only)

Important Note: All Hingham Savings ATMs are non-deposit taking. To make a deposit, please visit us during branch hours or use our Mobile Banking app to deposit checks from your phone.

Using an Out-of-Network ATM

When you use an ATM owned by another bank or service provider, they may charge you a surcharge (usually a few dollars) to process your transaction.

While we can't stop other banks from charging these fees, we offer monthly rebates of up to $45.00 to cover those costs, depending on your account type:

Account Type

How to Qualify for Fee Rebates

Personal Checking

Maintain an average monthly balance of $1,500.

Business Checking

Maintain an average monthly balance of $1,500.

Student Checking

Enroll in Online Banking with e-Statements and opt-out of paper checks.

Note: If you meet the criteria above, we will automatically credit your account for surcharges charged by other banks, up to a maximum of $45.00 per statement cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What happens if I don't meet the balance requirement?
If your balance falls below $1,500 (for Personal or Business) or you haven't switched to e-statements (for Students), you will still not be charged a fee by Hingham Institution for Savings, but you will be responsible for the fees charged by the owner of the other ATM.

  • When are the rebates applied?
Rebates are calculated and applied to your account at the end of each statement cycle.

  • Is there a limit to how many rebates I can get?
You can receive up to $45.00 in rebates every month. For most users, this covers about 10–15 out-of-network ATM visits!
